I’m with you and I hope it happens. But when asked realistically what I think will happen if we find ourselves with a successful Sherman/Bendix run? I say Ray-like turnover with a bit more spending than them (100M-125M) and much better attendance (front runners) I think that’s realistic but I agree we should strive for more.

@cangelosilegacy @FernSig01 Without a doubt, it’s refreshing and it’s why I always love engaging with you both! We all want the same thing and we’re all on the same sad boat lol

@FernSig01 @cangelosilegacy Of course not, just purely a hypothetical haha We’re winning like 9 without Sandy

@cangelosilegacy @FernSig01 We all agree there! No doubt. But until he sells or opens up the wallet, that’s not a realistic thought so I’ll take the 10 over the 90 haha

@cangelosilegacy @FernSig01 I’m with you, and that’s what I mean, people will show to winners because miami front runs. I do wholeheartedly agree that keeping a core together would help (no disagreement at all) I just think winning is the more important variable and the only non-negotiable between the two

@FernSig01 @cangelosilegacy If I said, they’re going to trade Sandy but win 90 or keep Sandy but win 70, y’all really telling me you’re keeping Sandy? Of course not. Winning is what matters. And the rays have won 431% more than the Marlins over the last decade. Lol. Sign me up for that please

@cangelosilegacy @FernSig01 Yeah but the Marlins offered to JT too, and don’t get credit. Same way Harper laughed at Nats, JT laughed at Marlins

@cangelosilegacy @FernSig01 Agreed, it’s why I said adding/spending is what I think is most critical, I just differ that it has to be the same names to have a fanbase stick around here. They just need to win. None of those guys stayed (back to MLB examples) but their clubs spent to replace and won.

@cangelosilegacy @FernSig01 Brother, they spend their arb years with the team…the same way we ridicule the Marlins for doing it. Soto left in ARB, same with Harper, Betts traded, Ohtani FA. The days of signing past arb for multiple contracts just isn’t happening since the previous to most recent CBA

@cangelosilegacy @FernSig01 The moment the Cats start losing, no one will care that the core is intact. Same way they didn’t care when Olí was here for his prime because they were losing. Heat replace stars left and right and people don’t care. Why? Because they win.

@cangelosilegacy @FernSig01 Dodgers entire core (almost) is bought, Phils acquired JT, Schwarber, and Harper so not sure what core you’re referring there, Pads? Astros and Braves is fair, they have mostly stayed the same in their competitive years through draft and dev.
