Wasn't sure I wanted to share this, but early this morning my father died. He was suffering from Alzheimer's for the last three or four years. Mom and I had been doing our best to take care of him but we knew this was coming eventually. Life gave him a moment of peace at the end.

Sadly, we came to the decision with the vet that it was time to send Jadie comfortably to her next life as she was struggling and it was only a matter of time before an episode forced our hand and put her in major distress. She was 19 and I selfishly wish she was one day older.
