: A major crash has happened on westbound I-90 just east of the North Bend exit where the TA truck stop located. NUMEROUS trucks, cars involved. WSP says some lost control and then this chain of crashes followed. At least one person seriously hurt.

❤️ It is unbelievable to see my sister-in-law, Jessica, smiling after getting her first haircut since the crash. She can smile, talk, walk some, can finally eat real food (her favorite is pork chops) and is going through therapy to get back to where she wants to be.

Am I the only one who believes payment terminals (grocery store, gas station — especially gas pump, department store, etc.) ask too many questions these days?
It’s like, I need to pump gas and it’s -1°F and windy but the pump prompts: “Loyalty card? Food? Favorite color?” 🌬😫❄️

I cried last night when I heard of the shooting. We were at bars in OTR. I had some drinks, yet the words/videos cut into my soul sharply. I lost it. I cried in front of my friends, sitting on a curb. I often look for exits and hiding places.. “just in case.” Damn it. No more.

I’ve had these newspapers since I was 12 years old. Carried them in a box through each move from college to every city where I’ve reported. They are getting quite old. 9/11/01 was the day I decided I’d be a reporter. Just a kid following his heart trying to make the world better.

My little bro says she is “more stable” today. She has been in the ICU. Apparently, under sedation and he says today they are planning to bring her out of sedation. It’s been hard dealing with this from afar.. but this must be a good sign. I hope.
