Mustangs battled tough and represented with pride at the IHSA Girls wrestling Regional! Top 4 advance to sectionals and were proud to announce that Zuza Cebulski placed 3rd and Allison Garcia placed 4th, earning spots at the Sectional at Schaumburg High School on 2/14 & 2/15!

Yesterday, we celebrated the life and legacy of former DGS wrestler Cormac Burke, sharing a message of hope 💙 It was an electric dual meet, and the Mustangs secured a victory over Wheeling Wildcats , 33-32. Huge respect to Coach Curran and best of luck the rest of the season!

Thanks to all our supporters of the program. Today we made good on our word and did a push up for every dollar raised from our fundraiser. It was a tough practice but we took a step forward and got a little stronger. The program enjoyed some camaraderie and breakfast to follow.

On Friday Mustangs earn a program sweep over Proviso East and move to 3-0 in the WSC Gold. Varsity has a 10-7 overall record and gear up for a strong finish. Next up we host Wheeling for our annual Meet for Mac event on 1/22 on the stage in our PAC. Wrestling will start at 5pm.

In less than one week (Wednesday 1/22) we will host our annual "Meet for Mac" where all proceeds from this event will go to the Cormac Burke Scholarship Fund. It has been almost 5 years since Cormac left us & while we miss him every day, we want to help others like him. 💚🙏

Varsity had a competitive weekend, with some wins and opportunities to learn and get better. Tough loss to Maine South 36-36 on criteria, dominant win over Plainfield North 50-20, and battled with Sandburg but fell to a top tier program 65-9. Time to keep putting in work!
