My grandma meant everything to me and I’ll miss her so much— from her spirit and love, to her UNTOUCHABLE cooking.

Hiring a Black therapist was on my 2020 bucket list, so I hired one at the top of the year. I’m glad I did because this year has been a rollercoaster and therapy has been extremely helpful navigating through it.

My grandma was born in Central Georgia, faced a slew of discrimination. She experienced the height of the civil rights movement, Voting Rights Act, etc. She did get to witness a Black President, but unfortunately not a Black woman as VP.
