Really proud of the heart our guys showed tonight. Down over 20 late in the 3rd..forced overtime. Disappointed we didn’t get the W but still something special to celebrate.
Tonight Cole Glasgow became DCG’s All Time leading scorer. What an accomplishment. We r so proud of him!

Jacob Runyan shined (31 points in the 3A state championship game) when the lights were on because of the work he puts in when the lights are off! Jacob deserves success! He constantly is working on his game. Could not be happier for him! His poise and steady play carried us!

Although it did not say it on the scoreboard tonight, these young men are winners! So proud of each and every one of them. Held Waukee to their season low in points with heart and determination! Just needed a few more shots to fall! Love these guys!

Tough night tonight! Extremely proud of the year we had and the young men on this team! In a difficult year with many unknowns, this team persevered and grinded to 20 wins and a state birth! One of the best DCG teams ever. More importantly, quality people!

Jackson Jones hit 8 state tourney 3pters! He averaged 13 a game in the state tourney and was part of the 3A all tourney team! Jackson hit 58 3pters this season! A new school record. Had 7 3pters vs Pella Christian earlier in the year! Another school record.

Jr Luke Rankin had 7 assists last night and broke the DCG season assist record held by Mustang standout and current coach Nick Drucker. Luke had 154 assists (tied for the most in 3A) and only 41 turnovers. He was 2nd in the state in steals with 73! Made his teammates better!
