Parliament Street will be temporarily pedestrianised from 18:30- 23:00 Thursday-Saturday starting tonight until the end of August.

Grangegorman Lower will be closed for motorised through traffic from this Monday 6th July for a 4 week trial period as part of the Dublin City Covid Mobility Programme. More info :

Please note that the Covid Mobility Scheme commences today on Pigeon House Road from 8am. There will be no vehicular through access from Cambridge Rd/York Rd to Sean Moore Roundabout and vice versa. It will however, allow cyclists and pedestrians to continue to use the route.

A trial safety mirror has been fitted at the junction of Canal Rd and Ranelagh Rd for traffic turning left onto Charlemont St, this trial is part of an ongoing programme to improve road safety for cyclists
Paid parking restrictions have been lifted for Saint Patrick's Day in the Dublin City Council area. As long as you are legally parked you are free to park without payment. Happy St Patrick's Day!

Can confirm there is an issue here with the cycle detectors. We have had an engineer on site and will install further hardware tonight in order to rectify the issue.
DUBLIN CITY CENTRE: Large group travelling through the city centre this afternoon as part of Drum and Bass on The Bike. Rolling road closure in place. Currently travelling along High St and Bridge St.
Please be aware of closures to Clontarf cycle track and car parks together with car parks at Sandymount due to storm Ellen safety precautions. Closure has commenced today 19/08/20 and in all likelihood the defences will remain in place until Monday 24th August.
Please note that the operational hours of the inbound and outbound bus lanes on Swords Rd – Drumcondra – Dorset St have been extended to include Sundays.

Thank you for bringing this to our attention. There was indeed a fault with the pedestrian crossings here which has been attended to by our contractors and now repaired.
Dublin City Council is delighted to announce that from Friday the 11th of June 2021, Capel St. and Parliament St. will be made traffic-free on a Friday, Saturday and Sunday evening. More info:

Due to protest, on street parking has been suspended on Baggot Street Lower, between Baggotrath place and Fitzwilliam Street Upper until further notice

Batchelors Walk/O'Connell Bridge; Emergency services are dealing with an incident. Right lane and middle lane blocked. Traffic can pass using left lane.

Please be aware we have a tree down on Ormond Quay just before the Capel St Bridge. It is blocking footpath and cycle lane. All road users please take care on approach.
Our road crews including 2 JCBs and 2 lorries were working in the Clifton area in Ballyfermot earlier today and also along bus routes today to help clear away snow and ice.
