Sometimes they just use a green backdrop, give any Green rangers a different suit, and apply a heavy dose of colour correction. Top left (dark blue) is a Green Ranger. I've attached a VERY ROUGH Photoshop of how it would have looked after colour correction.

um actually this translation is terrible because the word he used, クレーマー, is actually the Japanese wasei-eigo word for Kramer, the character from the 90’s sitcom Seinfeld
for context the word here is クレーマー (claimer)
it's wasei-eigo for a type of customer who goes out of their way to complain about stuff. In this case, repeatedly turning in and *claiming* their laundry
just using "claimer" just doesn't quite mean the same in English

“Japanese Power Rangers” is 100% an OK thing to call tokusatsu when you’re talking to someone who does not and never will care about the genre at all (which is most people) and people who complain about the label are taking it as an unintended qualitative statement.

First & foremost: the fixation on MMPR I think is/was the biggest problem. Realistically, it was probably their biggest moneymaker. BUT… (1)

I’m only going to speak about toku here (I don’t know anything about anime) but I don’t think “America would like these shows if given a proper chance” holds water when Power Rangers was on TV for 30 years and tokusatsu is still very niche.
My friend over discord said this was a bit wordy but idc I’m known for making stupid memes anyways so I’m flinging this here as it’s a realization I had. (Blame/thank kikaider)

If you perform a reaction (emote) at a villager, they'll either react to it or do the same reaction back at you. For example, if you use "Haunt" they'll either be scared, or use "Haunt" back at you.
They are programmed to never to do the "Love" emote at the player as a response.

I thought Over-Time did a great job with the subs on Boonboomger episode 1, but I wasn't a fan of "cranked-up" as a TL for 爆上. The cool thing about MKVs/softsubs is that you can just go in and edit the subs to say whatever you like!

I feel like, at this point, the Hurricaneger cast can’t find their cars in Toei’s massive parking lot so they’ve just resigned themselves to staying there and being in specials for the rest of their lives.
Glad the last year or so Toei’s had faith in Sentai side content where it’s TTFC or a 10/20 Yrs after depending on the Sentai. Sentai’s gotten disrespected so much the last few yrs the fans deserve the best. Hurricanegers meeting the Donbrothers… YES!!

Bandai numbers are out! This is for the first 6 months of FY2023, which is April 1 2022 to September 30th 2022.
In short: Everything is up groupwide, compared to the same timeframe last year. In Toys/Hobby, Sentai and Ultra are up, Rider’s down a little bit.
