Our Galveston meet was cancelled, but it didn't mean we couldn't go out there and compete!. Thank you to @CyLakesXC for working with us to build an impromptu 5K course for our runners and pushing them towards success!

Today, our boys team finished 13/24 at the UIL Region 2 meet. It was a great experience for many of our variety runners as 3 of our top 5 finishers were sophomores. As we build and develop this team, this experience becomes invaluable. Manny finished 2nd and advances to state!

Ask them about their miles!. David Thorbahn and Isaiah Lampkin completed our 400 mile challenge while Joseph Oguejiofor completed the 500 mile challenge have run a total of 1300 recorded miles between the three of them over the summer 🌞 in preparation for their XC season!

Our XC runners ran a tough meet at Friendswood HS the top private and public schools in Houston. Boys Varsity placed 6/16 ⭐ .Boys JV placed 7/15 ⭐ .Most importantly is that many of our runners set big PRs. Varsity speedster Ellie Alquiciera placed 12th with a 4K PR of 15:16.

Cross country at Cy-Springs isn't just running lots of miles. Every day of training is different. Today and yesterday the boys have been working on hip strength and flexibility as well as balance in order to prevent further injury.
