Final night with my running club (well half of them). As always end of term means pizza night. I have had such an amazing year with them and I’m so proud of all they’ve achieved ! I’m gutted to be leaving and I’m going to miss them and their dedication. Good luck next year team!

Aaaaannndd we’re off. Corralling 14 pupils at Buchanan bus station at 6am this morning and 5 back at school for the minibus. All turned up on time and well packed. Super impressed. Off on a 9 day adventure

Interview 1 of 3 done and dusted for this week. This time of year for probationers and temporary staff like me is extremely stressful. Can’t wait to find a permanent home in a school where I can grow and become part of the school family.

I swore I wasn’t going to cry. Last week at

As much as I LOVE being a teacher I do sometimes miss my life as an outdoor instructor. Being outside all the time, sleeping under the stars, climbing rocks, paddling lochs and eating freeze dried food! Can’t beat it! Looking forward to taking 6 x S5 pupils out in 4 weeks!

One of my runners saw me in the corridor and 5 mins later I got this email🥹. I’ve been away for a year and it’s amazing that the pupils have kept my club going on their own! This is what being a PE teacher is all about. Lifelong skills and love for being active.

staff darts tournament kicked off today. 7 players rose to the occasion, 1 dropped out all had questionable darts names! The tournament was ultimately won by Mr ‘The Arrow Assassin’ Connelly with Mr ‘The night’ Mair coming in a close second!
