🌊 We’re excited to share Current’s 2024 Impact Report, highlighting a landmark year of achievements in water innovation and the advancement of an inclusive, circular blue economy. Of our most impactful accomplishments this year was the launch of our @NSF-funded #GreatLakesReNEW initiative, uniting our ecosystem to tackle a critical problem: conventional water and wastewater treatment systems flush valuable resources down the drain and leave harmful contaminants behind. Great Lakes ReNEW is transforming waste into wealth for our region and beyond, proving that bold, collective action can deliver purpose-driven solutions to global water challenges. Because water security is national security—and the time to act is now. 🔗 Read the full report here:

🌊 "As a water industry leader, I stand with Dr. Famiglietti on this crucial point: Smarter national water planning and policy are urgently needed. This applies to both regions grappling with water scarcity and areas like the Great Lakes, which face growing pressures due to our freshwater abundance," says Current CEO @harknessa in her letter to the editor responding to @ASU's Jay Famiglietti's @nytimes essay, "Will We Have to Pump the Great Lakes to California to Feed the Nation?" One thing is clear: The current approach to addressing national water crisis challenges is unsustainable and ineffective. It's time for change.
