@cnnbrk Next step: either he'll drop the tariff in the near future (causing affected stocks to rebound & allowing all his insider trading friends to profit), or he'll use this as an excuse to justify expanding US territory because the USA can't affordably produce enough domestically.

@andrewcbrown519 @cnnbrk Of course. His cronies will have already sold any stock that might be adversely affected by the announcement (c/o insider information), will re-buy when it hits rock bottom, then he'll cancel the tariff again, stocks will rebound, and they'll all get richer. Rinse and repeat.

Want to end the trade war faster? Either raise prices or put a total embargo on the stuff Trump deliberately put low/no tariffs on. He won't care if Americans have to pay 25% more for maple syrup, but he'd shit himself if crude oil jumped 50% in cost & we cut off all electricity.

I'm looking at you, @facebook, @Kijiji,@eBay, @Google. Make a search engine that assumes the user is competent and returns precisely what the user asks it to return, not a bunch of random other crap.

@joshuahind @WhatsUpSaintJoh I expect they will start identifying stuff as Canadian, but in light of how supply and demand works, they will also jack up the price of Canadian goods considerably over the course of the trade war, citing higher demand against fixed or reduced supply.

Perhaps Trump thinks the only way he can lower grocery prices is by first inflating them via a trade war, or "make America great again" by destroying it first ie he's creating a problem so he can later claim to have solved it. It's Münchausen syndrome by proxy on a global scale.

Since Trump has no qualms about ruling by decree, even when his orders are unconstitutional, I'd suggest the next democrat to run for President only needs one election promise: to sign an Executive Order permanently limiting any President's authority to issue Executive Orders.

@carlosstelmac @deanoprice77 In a nutshell: if he were to agree to their terms, he'd be legally obligated not to leak top secret info. Why would anyone have a problem with this unless it prohibits their ongoing activities (which would imply they're already sharing privileged info with unauthorized parties)?

Export producers: based on how broadly he threatens the imposition of tariffs, Trump seems to think the US economy can handle paying 25% more for all imports. Perhaps it's time to raise your US-export pricing. You've got a 25% window that could improve local wages and profits.

Can we just skip to the part of the Trump presidency when he spends all his time playing golf instead of mismanaging the government?

@deAdderCanada @deanoprice77 He'd be in front, but there was a lineup already of media companies and the billionaires who own them.

I'm not suggesting accommodation is mistake, but in the case of mental health issues like anxiety and depression, wouldn't it make more sense to offer resources like CBT and courses teaching students healthy coping skills that will serve them beyond their education?
