@kdgscribe Keith, I hear you, from a policy perspective (and agree with you!). My question relates more to the legal underpinnings, which are a bit different, and hopefully less subjective.

@sarahehunt01 I think this is where the real debate will be, not in the initial immunity ruling. Hysteria is not serving anyone well and is frankly exhausting.

@ChristieFERC @EENewsUpdates Finally (for now!), what action do you recommend to states during this window to try to figure out a cost allocation methodology? While it’s not your first choice, it was FERC’s effort at a compromise and it is an opportunity for states. What can be done to make the most of it?

@ChristieFERC @EENewsUpdates Additionally, if state jx over transmission is grounded in siting, should the Relevant State Entity in O.1920 be the siting agency - even if that agency doesn’t do rates? Does it change your position that Congress abrogated state siting in the bipartisan IIJA?

@Guay_JG Many owners is Ok, but subject to the same open access tariffs, depancaked rates as much as possible, and large scale planning to capture efficiencies of scale!

Great interview on Squawkbox about a much needed transmission line in the PNW and the permitting delays that stand in the way. Check it out!
Transmission lines "are really the highways of the energy system. We need them to move clean energy around where we need it, when we need it." "The problem is these transmission lines are difficult and time-consuming to permit under the current rules."
