MARA raised $1.925 billion from 0% convertible notes in November and December. Using the proceeds from its zero-coupon convertible notes offerings, MARA has acquired 15,574 BTC for ~$1.53 billion at ~$98,529 per #bitcoin and repurchased ~$263 million in aggregate principal amount of its existing convertible notes due 2026, and expects to use the remaining proceeds to acquire additional bitcoin. MARA has achieved BTC Yield of 22.5% QTD and 60.9% YTD. As of 12/18/2024, we hold 44,394 BTC, currently valued at $4.45 billion based on a spot BTC price of $100,151.

@0xalfamingo Hugely undervalued, but has been undervalued for a very long time now. Not sure why it is unloved but never seems to move much.

@CDavidFloyd Yeah thought the same, probably need to analyse the 1 min charts the last few months and decide if it's worth a shot or not.

@EarnestHamilt14 I think roughly the same, possibly up to 0.90 to $1 - remember that the share count dropped in Dec with the buy back to 280.8mil. But likely the market will look past the FASB component and concentrate on the core profitability, which is harder to estimate.

@benzehtty Me and I can't believe how badly it's going while the other HPC potentials fly. Such a small share count and mcap it makes no sense.

@GoesBruno I don't see how miners are impacted, other than bitcoin price. Potentially on new miner purchases but I think they've already purchased what they want for this cycle.

Mystery solved, the eps estimates on the NASDAQ site does not include FASB profits. Thanks @yujia2020 for explaining.
@CryptoLizard88 Consensus EPS is typically non-GAAP EPS, which should exclude the FV MTM of Bitcoin in Treasury for Bitcoin miners. It's a balance sheet change and not earnings from the core operating business.
