Thx @cathyrusson! I mean technically both pros & def can waive / defer in most states but in practice I’ve rarely seen it happen here in NC (but … I haven’t litigated in a decade so maybe more common now)! Any South Carolina attorneys … is it common there? I was a bit surprised they deferred!
