@jeff_perlow @Freedom_Toons Current numbers are driven by global instability, such as economic crises in Venezuela and Haiti, and policy changes that influence how migrants are processed. Your solution is just to kick out people that are essentially refugees escaping oppression, and I think that’s cruel.

@jeff_perlow @Freedom_Toons Admittedly, there has been a measurable increase in border encounters post-pandemic due to economic recovery, global instability, and migration trends. However again, encounters do NOT equate to successful illegal crossings, as many individuals are expelled or turned back.
