They also made an app so you can call a ride. That's like the main thing. Taxis didn't have that and you'd have to call a guy who would maybe show up if he wanted to and it was nearly universally hated as an exp outside of NYC.
So now that Uber stopped subsidizing rides with venture capital it costs as much as taxis ever did, but the difference is now when you take a ride, a bunch of tech guys whoโve done nothing to help you get to your destination take part of the driverโs pay.

Totally, but I think the bad and good we do to animals is mostly independent. I want hot running water and fancy electronics so we cut down forests and pollute water. Animal nerds nursing bats and inseminating rhinos aren't part of that problem.
