@glynsellors @KGbirder @birdinglothian West, you want to be at Gullane Point. Several thousand common scoter offshore, sometimes distant but only around 50 velvet scoter scattered around, find the velvets and you should be okay if near enough

Winter trips to the May have started! The @IofMayBirdObs looking fab under a late autumn moon! Hundreds of thrushes around along with chiffs, woodcock, and sparrowhawk! Out at sea, little auk passing by with a late puffin on the crossing.

A flock of 4 Red-necked Grebe, 20 Slavs, 13 Rt Diver off Craigielaw Point today. The RNG's the most I have seen at once in Lothian in years! 172 Barnicle's in Aberlady Bay. @birdinglothian

YBW Oxwell Mains today, a barnacle goose at the end of the old Cockenzie Power Station pier was more of a surprise, but less so upon seeing it in the nearby building site on Tuesday! @birdinglothian
