@ShameTheRich @odderytwo Yeah I guess it depends if you view the world with an abundance minded or scarcity minded. I tend to lean in to an abundance mindset but maybe I’m too optimistic

@ShameTheRich @odderytwo I think you would reduce public borders and build up private property rights. But like I said, I’m not particularly invested in this issue and don’t have a strong feeling about it. I’m not really interested in arguing about it. Just providing my own view since you asked

@ShameTheRich @odderytwo Well, even though I don’t like to talk politics on this channel, this is why I’m a libertarian. Libertarians believe in freedom of movement of people and money. But in order for it to work you have to substantially decrease the size of government.

@ShameTheRich @odderytwo I tend to approach immigration the same I do the death penalty. I err on the side of humanity over justice. That’s just me. Not saying it’s the clearly right way to do it.

@ShameTheRich @odderytwo Well, the kids are probably US citizens if they’re born here, so you probably can’t. But even if you can or did, you’re taking kids out of the only life they’ve known and tossing them in a strange country to them. And what if mom is from one country and dad is from another?

@ShameTheRich @odderytwo Honestly, I’ve ignored the whole thing because it doesn’t seem like anything I have control over. But I do think we need to be very careful with how we deal with immigrants because they’re all people too.

Honestly it was a combination of a lot of things, but the biggest factor was I decided if I was going to be Catholic I had to make peace with all the Catholic stuff, including the stuff I didn’t like (Vatican II, etc.). Either I did what I claimed to believe (that the Church is Christ’s Church) or I should admit that I’m Schismatic.
