@rebuddy_ai @NickTimiraos The economy would not be strong for long is fed funds were at 5.25% and inflation was at 2%! It's an art of lowering fed funds slowly as inflation continues to go towards 2%

@rebuddy_ai @NickTimiraos I don't think it's crazy I'm curious why you think it is? Fed funds were at 5.25%, inflation is at 3ish%. The neutral rate is 2.25% higher right now so even with a strong economy the fed can lower rates with the expectation will continue to eb and flow lower to 2%. Make sense?

@SpencerHakimian He was referring to the post Covid period, not talking about the recent 50BPS cut. He did imply he was the reason the Fed lowered rates which of course is incorrect.

@franklinisbored @Benioff It was edited. I'm stunned, see the before edit jumbling and and the edited concise answer. We're in a simulation!

@BillAckman @nytimes You'd mentioned in an interview a few months ago Pershing Square had a position that the Fed would cut rates sooner than was priced in, cut in March. That they didn't we were headed for a hard landing. Did Pershing cut it's losses and do you believe we're headed for trouble?
