Excited to start the year with this lovely paper with @whoiselainetao showing that drugs that inhibit sodium channels bind in a range of sites within the pore cavity rather having a single distinct pose. @JGenPhysiol @scienceANU @NCInews
Tao and Corry @CorryLab @ANU_RSB_BSB investigate the binding of sodium channel inhibitors to the Naᵥ1.5 pore using simulations, revealing promiscuous, polyspecific binding at the fenestrations and central cavity.
