My 2024 was…interesting? I made a lot of progress personally, and mentally. I overcame a lot of demons and I’m proud of that. I found ways to regulate my dopamine and checked off some big bucket list items. I became a registered coach, and competitive coaching is one of the most rewarding things I’ve ever done. I made a lot of new friends and recalibrated to being more social - something I’ve really struggled with over the past few years. You’d think that working within communities would make you an extrovert, but I actually find that most people that work on building communities are actually quite isolated and introverted by nature? I began playing sports regularly. Have gotten a lot of my QB skills back and play on a great competitive team with awesome people I love to be around. I joined a poker group. Found out I’m pretty damn good at it. I think I’m up $500+ on the year, so finding much better success there vs sports betting. Went on a lot of nature walks. Toured around and nearly got lost once on a 3 hour hike. That was fun lol. I rescued a golden retriever. She’s a lazy, lovable dog who only responds to love. So pretty much perfect. I also beat 28 games in 2024. I worked tirelessly at my backlog, and I’m happy I knocked a lot of games I wanted to play off of my list. I got to travel - went to the Dominican Republic and Mexico this year. Had a blast in both places - good people, good food, lots of sun. Aside from these positives, the mental work I put in was needed for what otherwise was an absolutely terrible year. I was laid off for 5 months, which, thankfully, I was in a good spot financially, so able to manage that and use the time on myself vs rushing into something I didn’t want to do. Thankfully, I found a great spot for me. I tore my knee, which required surgery and a long rehab - something that halted a lot of good progress I had made on my body and soul. Then the past month has been very awful and painful. Lost a family member to cancer…which sucked. Then over the past few weeks, I was hospitalized with pneumonia in both of my lungs. Hooked up to IV’s, multiple rounds of antibiotics and now steroids and puffers…I feel like I’m 90 going on death, but at least I’m moving in a positive direction today vs a week ago. The doc says it was one of the worst cases she’s seen, so who knows how long it’ll take to recover. All of my sports teams suck. Except for the ones I coach or play on, obviously, so I’ll take that win in what was otherwise a terrible sports year lol. Manchester United, 49ers, Warriors…ugh. That said, I’m happy to be going into 2025 with the work I put into myself, the lessons in 2024, and alive lol. It’s easy to complain about all the bad stuff, but I’m really happy I made it through all of that shit and I’m in a really good space mentally about it all. That’s progress. I started spending energy on me, around those who invest in me, and almost zero time on anything else, and I think it’s been dramatically beneficial. No goals for 2025. Just going to take it as it comes. I know it’s great to set goals, but I accomplished a lot of what I set out to do in 2024 even with the obstacles. I’m tired. I think I just wanna enjoy life in 2025. That’s my goal lol. HNY everyone! Be good to each other. ❤️

@the_red_truth44 @AshMeppers I don’t disagree with you, man. It sucks. I’m just trying to grasp at anything right now lol.

@AshMeppers The reality is, we did spend rebuilding money, and we wasted it. Now we’re under financial scrutiny as we pay those fees off.

@AshMeppers Yes but they were also able to sell a player for like $100M, and they didn’t waste like $7-800M on bang-average players lol.

@AshMeppers No doubt. Not saying I’m happy with it, but maybe they’re concerned about short-term signings when the season is a wash anyways. Who knows what they’re thinking lol.

@the_red_truth44 @AshMeppers My guy, relax. I didn’t say I hope we don’t sign players? I said it trying to look at the bright side and that there’s a plan for summer. I think it’s pretty clear we aren’t getting a big signing today. You’re acting like I’m signing the players lmao.

RT @WhitlockJason: Breaking: Lakers trade Bronny James and a second-round pick for Giannis Antetokounmpo.

@Reece2113 I’m not sure. I think it’s more protecting the future of the franchise. I honestly have no idea how him and Bron play together, they feel like the same mould. It’ll be interesting to watch, that’s for sure.

@Reece2113 Have to be. This is incredible for the Lakers. It’ll motivate Luka. There’s literally zero downside lol. You fleeced them.
