So so sad to hear this news about beautiful wee Myra. She played the humbly heroic 'Noreen' when we first staged Glasgow Girls way back in 2012. An extraordinary firecracker, and a voice which just soared out of her tiny wee body. RIP Myra, with huge love and respect xx
We are deeply saddened to hear of the passing of the remarkable Myra McFadyen. We want to respectfully acknowledge her extraordinary talent and the vital contribution she made to eight NTS productions, over the years, from the launch event Home in 2006 onwards.

What a stunningly powerful way to stand in solidarity with the women of Afghanistan.
I join my sisters in Afghanistan by sharing a video of myself singing one of their well-known and poignant songs. It is frightening that the Taliban’s new law bans women from speaking in public. In response, Afghan women have started a new wave of singing in public. Second clip in this video is Zara Esmaili, a young singer in Iran, was detained more than a month ago for singing in public. The Taliban’s actions mirror those of their master, the Islamic Republic of Iran, in their relentless suppression of women’s rights. Sing with us, shout with us, and fight with us against gender apartheid in the 21st century.
