Yr 5 pushed themselves out of their comfort zones today by trying lino printing. It was difficult and they had to show the attributes of all four learning buddies. They practised the technique ahead of making a print inspired by the printmaker, Kenojuak Ashevak. #CopmanthorpeArt

A fantastic turn out for the Morning Mile today. Keep on joining in and help us to reach our 1500mile target by the end of the year. 555miles so far! We meet every Tuesday and Thursday outside the Year 5 classrooms and all children and parents are welcome. #CopmanthorpePE

Year 5 enjoyed making some wonderful salt dough fossils this morning as part of an experience day in English. We found out more about David Attenborough’s interests and also about Greta Thunberg, another naturalist who he has inspired. #CopEnglish

Year 5 have continued their adventure into Maya foods today with a tasting plate of various Mexican dishes along with spicy hot chocolate. Well done to those who tried the jalapenos! 🌶️They've used their research to help design their own wrap sandwiches. #CopmanthorpeDT #CopHist
