Today, I used my first parliamentary question to raise Altrincham Minor Injuries Unit. Its potential closure cannot be separated from 14 years of Tory failure on the NHS, but I will keep fighting for services at Altrincham Hospital which local people can rely on.

As a Greater Manchester MP, speaking in the debate on Martyn's Law was a poignant moment for me. After the horrors of the Manchester Arena attack, all venues must have appropriate security measures in place to protect the public from terrorism. Martyn's Law will deliver this.

It’s awful to see Caldwell Brook in this condition and I have reported this pollution to the Environment Agency for investigation. The state of too many of our local waterways is a disgrace. Our @UKLabour plan will finally get a grip of this crisis and clean up our rivers.

I recently met @bloodcancer_uk to hear about their landmark report-the UK Blood Cancer Action Plan. In the last 10 years, 1m+ potential years of life have been lost to blood cancer. This needs to change. That's why I'm supporting their plan to improve survival in the UK.

I've written to the Integrated Care Board ahead of their meeting on Altrincham Minor Injuries Unit. Despite the damage caused by 14 years of Tory failure on the NHS, I believe the Unit should be upgraded to an Urgent Care Centre to reduce pressure on Wythenshawe A&E.

I’m deeply disappointed by the recommendation of the Trafford Locality Board to permanently close the Minor Injuries Unit at Altrincham Hospital. I’ll be writing to the ICB to urge them to reconsider and will raise this case in Parliament.
