I'm now officially qualified for worlds in my first season. All year I have been working towards a performance like this, and to get it when I needed it the most feels extra sweet. Also, I finally got to play on stream!

SV vgc is a lot of fun, but it could've been so much better with a few easy fixes.
1. Keep the visuals of SW/SH battles
2. Have year-long formats instead of series that give no time for meta development
3. Make it easier to get competitive mons instead of making it harder

You are much more than your result. It is incredibly difficult to play 9 great rounds of VGC throughout a very long and grueling day. There are so many examples of incredible players having bad performances.

I’ll start. Far too often people rely on “lines” and not enough on developing game sense. Part of why I’ve made d2 so consistently is I’ve made weird teams, and people tend to play dramatically worse into unfamiliar MUs.

This was easily the best year of my life
This year, I:
- got engaged
- made Worlds
- top cut a Regional
- traveled the world to play pokemon
- got to meet so many of my friends IRL and make so many new friends
I'm so grateful for everyone who has made this year incredible
