This is about Ukraine, not Afghanistan. How is this relevant to the post? The issue here is that this was video was part of a smear campaign, likely by Russian operatives, in order to push the corruption narrative regarding Ukraine, while using the current discourse about USAID as a vessel to push this into the spotlight. My post isn’t about whether USAID is good or bad. If you wanna know my opinion: Americans will notice that power projection through institutions and agencies like USAID is way(!) cheaper than through military means. DOGE should abolish nonsense DEI programs or infrastructure programs within USAID which aren’t in the interest of/beneficial to the US. Instead they tear down the whole agency which is fine as long as the replacement agency or the freed up funds are being allocated to more important and serious foreign policy issues as Rubio said.
