Watched some games in ATL yesterday. Takeaway: Everyone seems to want to answer to be swing-related, bcuz it's easier to find a solution. But the truth is its usually thought-related & it's harder to teach the mental game.

Don't look @ starters like, "I'm better so why am I sitting?" You should ask, "Why does coach TRUST the starters more than me?" Seek to become more trustworthy. It's not only about who's better. This is not a combine. Its a real game that your coach wants to actually win.

The self-esteem movement has destroyed the resiliency of our young ppl. I'm trying to teach teenagers how to fail & recover -something they should've learned both at home & on the playground. Instead, they have been protected from failure & the emotions associated with it.

You don't always have to be on a name-brand team to make it. Sometimes it's as simple as just being "good enough" where you are. And when you play against those "name-brand" teams -just dominate them & prove it. Better to beat them than to join them.
