I read comics WEEKLY I don't dig. I get comics from Kickstarters that aren't (IMHO) ready 4 prime time. I don't talk about them, ever, publically.
I said b4, talk UP stuff you like. Don't publically knock something you don't like if you're a creator.

The co. w/whom I interviewed called me a 2nd time 2day. They're sending an offer letter & onboarding papers!
They're offering a lesser role starting Sept (& said hopefully sooner) for 3 months. If I do well, they're offering larger role!
The lesser is slightly less than major!

Our 20 year old cat, HAPPY... passed away last night.
She was the most poorly named cat in history as she was always mean, never friendly... did not like to be pet, bit people... and was generally always crabby.
But we loved her anyway.

A creator apparently acted quite inappropriately w/a number of marginalized folks... especially w/someone w/whom I work closely. The publisher w/which the creator had a book, dropped the creator immediatly. That's a publisher I'd be proud to be at. Oh... I am!

I think the 1st thing I'd suggest to anybody making comics at any level... is to stop trashing other people's comics, movies, etc.
It just doesn't look good on creators.
It's fine for a journalist orreader but creators should refrain. We should concentrate on our own stuff. JMHO

My son's athletic career is over. He had a bone scan yesterday & it had multiple stress fractures & yeah he's not hitting any pro teams anytime soon. So, today... on a random day in march... he ended organized sports.

I was able to have a phone consultation with a health pro... and they've suggested I head to the ER. They think I had something called a TIA. (Transient Ischemic Attack) AKA ministroke... and could be a pre-cursor to more stuff... so I am heading out right now. :)

I've spoken w/many creators who are a bit younger than me who truly... in their souls... think that in small press comics, the publisher is supposed to do everything. Uh uh... this is the front lines. Everybody gets in the effort as partners or it doesn't work.

For years, I'd take the kid to build-a-bear where he'd make a bear for mom and record the year and a XMas greeting. He got older. We stopped.
This year, 20 year old kid went on his own, made a bear for mom and made the recording... & said "Mommy".
I called it.
