Our Response to DeFi Technologies $DEFTF Yesterday, we published a report explaining why we believe @DeFiTechGlobal's recent stock price run-up was built on promotion—not fundamentals. You can and should read that here: Today, with the market closed, we woke up to a press release from the company responding to our "short and distort report." In the press release (seen here: , DeFi Technologies states that they believe that our report was in coordination with short sellers, stating: "The Report was possibly commissioned by short-sellers in a coordinated effort to depress the valuation of the common shares of the Company (the "Shares") to cover short positions, a tactic that is common for short-sellers to deploy when a company is successful and the short-sellers find themselves on the wrong end of a short trade." So perhaps we can say this as clearly as possible. We are not currently, nor have we ever been, paid by a short-seller to cover any company. Furthermore, as stated in our original reporting, nobody on the CoinSnacks team has a position in any direction with DeFi Technologies. If more clarification is needed, we are happy to provide more. The real truth is that we are just a group of individuals who grew up together, fell in love with crypto, and began writing a weekly newsletter in 2017 – nearly four years before DeFi Technologies was even conceptualized. Our goal since the beginning has been to inform our readership of what we believe to be the good and the bad happenings in crypto. We stand by our reporting and we’ll leave it at that.
