Five days after the Sudanese activist Mohannad was killed by a Tunisian citizen, today again the Tunisian government has destroyed the tents of refugees that they built to shelter and protect themselves from rain and cold, and they don't know what to do and where to go. Most of

“We are at a crossroads. A further expansion of the conflict carries unimaginable dangers. It will also broaden the humanitarian impact far beyond the capacity of aid agencies and open the door for population movements difficult to manage.”

Yet, where else can a divided world find space to talk?
We must preserve it, difficult as it is.

: I'm concerned by Decree-Law 145. It appears aimed at restricting the space for

A boat carrying 30 people set off from Sfax, Tunisia, on Friday at around 10:00 PM. Tragically, their sank overnight, leaving only 10 survivors. We extend our deepest condolences to their families. Rest in power comrades!
In fighting traffickers, EU must continue protecting survivors & offer them appropriate solutions
To defeat them, it must offer alternatives to those forced to flee incl in transit countries with EU’s support, so people do not fall prey to traffickers along their route to safety
We have lost contact with the stranded people since yesterday evening and fear that their phones were taken and an illegal deportation took place. Where are they?

Meeting in Rome focuses on Libya's borders & migration border control, new technological toys …& with no significant progress on protection space for all those in need of international protection, like residence permits, refugees will continue to leave
Not having a nationality means no education, no job, no healthcare, no bank account - and no identity.
