Top Thrill 2, the @zamperlarides conversion of @cedarpoint's Top Thrill Dragster hydraulic launch coaster into a "Lightning" LSM triple launch coaster, is set to re-open on May 3rd - the park's opening day of the 2025 season - according to park spokesman Tony Clark.

Although it's been SBNO (standing but not operating) for 2 years, we're sad to see @OakwoodThemePk dismantling Drenched, the park's Intamin Shoot The Chutes ride that opened in 2002. The park gave no hint that this was happening today or on what's replacing it.

The Haunted Mansion at @Disneyland shredded its annual holiday overlay today and revealed a new Black Widow Bride. The new storyline turns her from an axe murderer who beheads her husbands into a brooding bride mourning their loss. The new bride features a audible beating red heart, flowing gown, and a grief-stricken look on her face, and appears to levitate in front of a shattered window while holding a flickering three-pronged candelabra.

The Adventuredom's future may be on shaky grounds as the @CircusVegas Hotel & Casino owner is looking to sell the property. Owner Phil Ruffin believes the land beneath the casino and theme park may be worth more than any other plot on the Strip, and is looking to sell for a huge profit.

Palace Entertainment confirmed that Thomas Town at @Kenny_Kangaroo will be replaced this spring with a new area featuring five rides for families and children, with more details expected to be announced soon. Kennywood's website currently lists five rides - Train, Drivers, Helicopter Tour, Kid Drop Tower and Fire Training - as coming soon, but the accompanying photos have been taken down.

Seasonal refurbishments began @Disneyland today following the busy winter holiday season. The park is temporarily closing eight attractions this month, including the Railroad, Monorail, Haunted Mansion, It’s A Small World, Mark Twain Riverboat, Grizzly River Run, and Inside Out Emotional Whirlwind.

The rumors that have been circulating since April have finally been confirmed. Hollywood Rip, Ride, Rockit at @UniversalORL will close in early September 2025. The Maurer custom X-Car coaster has been plagued with technical difficulties since opening in 2009, so this doesn't come as a big surprise.

Sad Christmas Eve news as it appears @KingsDominionVA is removing Anaconda, the park's Arrow Dynamics custom looping coaster that opened in 1991. With the coaster slated for demolition, last rides were on November 3, 2024.

Rumors have been circulating, but now it's official. Today @Carowinds announced that Nighthawk, the park's Vekoma Flying Dutchman coaster, has been permanently closed. Two flat rides, Scream Weaver (Schwarzkopf Enterprise) and Drop Tower: Scream Zone, are also being retired.
