Black History was made in 2018. Coach Franqua Q Bedell was the first ✊🏽 Black man to win the first D-I NJCAA Womens Basketball Championship. This was a documentary of that year in 2018. Coach Q as so share his story in his book from Chumps to Champs.

It only took 6 stops, 1 NJCAA National Championship, 4 NJCAA National Touranment, 2 NJCAA Final 4’s, 3 NCAA Tournament, 1 Sweet 16, 1 High School State Championship, 1 High School Final 4 and a total of 12 years to get here!

(26-3) overall (12-1) in conference. Played our last home game of the year! I was told that I always look angry during the game! 😂 it's not anger it focus and passion! After the win I'll be smiling 😁 again! So proud of this group! Got one more!

It’s a blessing to be a coach, a leader of empowering young people. I must confess that I have had people tell me all my life that I’m not good enough, not smart enough, you haven’t done anything in life or career. Today as I like at my journey, I would never bet against me!🤩💯

So proud of these amazing young women. They are 1st class people. I’m so emotional right now cause I hate that I can wake-up and coach them one more day. My heart is full when I think back to day 1 and all the goals we set. To go 30-5 overall on the season is not bad at all! ❤️
Our Women’s Basketball Team competed in the NJCAA D1 National Championship Tournament in Casper, WY!
They finished in the Elite 8 & had an amazing season! We are so proud!

Life of a Coach 101: I’ve not been blessed with the Pedegree of a lot of people in this business. I had to work from below the bottom! Not 😡 mad at all for it! I have to personally thank adversity for making me who “I am”! I love this game, & I bet on me!

Picked to finish 3rd at the start of the year. Finished tied for first and Co-Conference Champs. 29-4 in year 3, 16-10 in year 2 and 8-17 in year 1. To trust the process and to be yourself is the key to long-lasting success. I think we are moving in the right direction.
