How can you call a kid, who grew up in the hood watching his mom struggle, selfish because he sits out one game to ensure he gets his family out of the hood? Spend a little time with that one meal a day and no heat in your house and see if you still have those same thoughts.

Just ran into a former player at the gym. Haven’t seen him in 12 years. Wasn’t the most talented and never played. Asked what he’s doing. His answer - I’m in the military and next year I’m headed to SEAL school. Just never know what a kid’s full potential is! Love em up anyway!.

Most people never stop to realize that as coaches during the season we spend more time with other people’s kids than we do with our own! That alone is worth support! You pour into kids all week, and you get 5-10 minutes after the game with yours! Still the greatest profession.
