Just curious, 👀ing NCAA Baseball and why is it okay for the guys to come out of the dugout in foul ground to celebrate a home run, but in softball no one can leave the dugout or the HC gets a warning/ejection on

? Covid only affect softball???
@NCAAsoftball
@NFCAorg
“Oh coach she is D1... "
So are a lot of young women on D2 programs who are leaving a legacy of greatness.
Celebrated, loved, raised, and wanted....
Freaking D2 life rocks man...
Rolling into another signing day. I re-post this every year and it is still true. This post is all the stuff that is "unwritten" on that NLI and is expected of you. Best of luck to all of you ladies who have signed or will be signing this month.
If you quit your travel ball team because your coach is "too demanding" of you and just want to have fun...
But expect to play college softball for a coach who actually gets paid (not completely but yeah) to win ball games...
Oh my...
Happy Father's Day to all the bucket sitting, front tossing, ground ball hitting, tournament chauffeuring, and baseball/softball loving dads out there.
1. Quit ranking 12-14 year olds.
2. Quit pressing them about "recruitment" in 14u
3. Quit pressuring them the be “D1"
4. Make sure young women know their worth isn't dependent on the amount of offers they have and who those offers are.

Just so you know... I was offered and I verbally accepted the HC position at UAM. The responsibility is large... But between myself and

we are so excited for the challenge!

If you do get your dream offer tomorow and decide to move on from your current top 3-5 schools, could please just give us a heads up?!
Nothing wrong with it, but nothing burns bridges like being the last to know...on Twitter...after hosting you on a visit and with an offer :-)
Is there really any reason that softball players, who just got finished with summer season in August, are playing every weekend till December?
Perhaps some rest, ACT/SAT tests, maybe a visit or two, and a camp or two at a school they really want to attend???
I don't care about your softball class ranking...
But I do care about :
Softball tools
Heart
Softball knowledge
Grades
Fit
Need
Guts
Commitment level
Coachability
Teamwork ability
"it" factor
Beyond blessed to get a chance to lead this
#BlossomSoftball
into next season. We have work to do to honor the traditions that Coach Early and all those Former Blossoms established... But I believe this is the right team to do it!
#ThanksAE
How about you play the game of softball because you genuinely love it? How about you grind to be the best because that's what the game and youe teammates deserve? The scholarship isn't the goal...the opportunity to continue playing the game you can't live without is...
Just a thought...
If you know you want to stay within 3 hours of home, why would you start a recruiting relationship with a coach outside your circle....then decide it is too far after they show real interest.
Don't waste your time or that coaches. It is valuable.
I will never understand how you claim to "love" softball and "want to be good" but you:
Don't go hard in drills
Don't throw and catch with a purpose
Don't have a plan in pregame tee work
Don't prepare in your pregame reps
Walk across the field
Let your body language be a drain.
Just my observation after watching several games online this weekend...
I would have thought more young ladies would have been happy to play softball instead of displaying poor body language and hustle.
Just my $0.02.
Talked to a 2023 young lady today that said she was "nervous" about 9/1.
I said don't be. God has a plan. Keep balling out and the path will be laid out.
Wish more young women would quit worrying about recruiting and just focus on playing the game hard with passion!
"How did you do today?"
If you play a team sport and your first response is "I went, I did, or I didn't", then you are missing the point.
"We won, we competed, we lost, we gotta get better, etc."
Just my 0.02...
How does a college coach reach out to a recruit if the high quality profile sheet does not have at least one form of contact information?
Asking for a friend... 😁😁😁
All coaches are looking for talented players who are extremely loyal, have an insatiable hunger for improvement, and an iron clad work ethic.
No matter the division. No matter the sport. Be the best where you are. Don't settle for good enough. Shed those chains.
I'm as excited about Sept 1st as the D1 coaches and recruits are. The reshuffle is real.
Just know an offer on Wednesday, or lack there of, does not define you as a person or player. It actually may bring a little clarity to some muddy waters right now.
Just my 0.02
Unpopular opinion but it's mine...
Same travel coaches pushing D2 coaches all summer to recruit their kids, which we do, turn right around and talk about Sept 1 being the first day of recruiting.
Just keep it real with us. It ain't about feathers in caps, it's about fits...
If D1 softball is important to you then just find a way. Call about an academic visit. See about a virtual facility tour. If they are recruting you, then they will find a way to help. Trust me, they are still working.
Patience. Lots going on behind the scenes.
We've lost a legend this morning. Alvy Early, a great coach and a better friend, died early this morning. Our prayers go out to his wife, Nancy, his sons, Preston, Brian and Kent, and their families. We'll miss you coach. You were one of a kind.
Can't be stressed enough... The offer and commitment is the FIRST step. You gotta work even harder to make sure you don't waste that opportunity. Too many commits are COASTING. Lots of heartbreak in your future when you don't show up ready...
Just my 0.02
Recruting in this post covid world is crazy. Extra eligibility. Uncertainty in budgets. Knowing there will be a bunch of impact juco and transfers. Quality 2022 class as well.
#CoachingProbs
Can softballers explain to me how you hit a ball deep into the OF and refuse to start running hard until after you touch first base...in a tournament???
🤔
At a time when young girls are battling all sorts of issues with growing up. Acceptance and self-worth being tied to softball
If you don't ever read another tweet from me understand this young players
SOFTBALL DOES NOT DETERMINE YOUR SELF-WORTH!!!
Just so you know... I ain't emailing, texting, or calling any C/O 2024 target at midnight.
Be working through the list tomorrow. Enjoy the ride C/O 2024.
Real talk softball question...
Are we ready to go back to post series handshakes? I miss being able to give some props out to those we play.
Plus...nothing is better than that return high five after a good win!
Hey class of 2024....much like Sept 1, if you don't get an call, text, or email tomorow.... It is not the end of the world. It is the start of a journey.
Ain't no one signing their 2024 class tomorrow, remember that.
#WalkYourWalk
Athletes want to play. They are following the mask rules on campus. If the other student population would follow suit maybe we can help slow down this stuff.
If you don't want to wear the mask CORRECTLY ,then go online classes. It is not that difficult.

's heart goes out to

and the passing of our good friend Coach McGhee. He and Alvy shared a special bond and we know how much he impacted those around him.

I love building relationships through recruting. You don't always get them to campus, but it sure is rewarding watching them grow! This one is a winner on and off the field! Her future is bright!
#WinnersWin
10 days, 45 hours behind the wheel, and over 2,200 miles of travel.
Saw a lot of

signees, lots of

commits, several strong prospects for future classes, and capped it off with a phenomenal 1st commitment for the 23 class.
I might be in the minority as a coach, but if you send me a BP clip please include the whole round.
Clips front toss home runs on cookies are awesome, but I would love to see how you hit balls outside the middle of the plate...or even your mis-hits :-)
Mad respect to the committed kids who will answer the phone this week and say, "Coach I appreciate your interest but I already commited to my dream school. Best of luck."
I don't think you can talk your way into a softball scholarship. Travel coach can't do it. Recruiting coordinator can't do it. Grind in the dark and put the product on the field against others who fighting for the same opportunities...
That's when you turn the corner :-)
Some of my favorite moments are putting final touches on Alvy Early Field before we play. So very thankful for the opportunity given to me by "the Boss!"

As much as I like seeing kids say "thanks for having us at camp". I think it's a little backwards.
Thank you for caring enough about our program to want to come and learn. We think UAM is and will continue to be special.
We at
#BlossomsSoftball
appericate you.
I love talking recruiting sometimes. No UAM bias, but truly to try and help coaches, young ladies, and parents understand some of the processes.
If they are better... We become better!
Watching softball players having to either defend their decision to attend a university or defend their decision to leave is mind boggling.
Live and let live my goodness...
One person can make the difference.
In this case one person and one team really lit a fire under everything good about college softball and young women everywhere.
As coaches... Let's not let burner go back down... Let's turn it up and let softball boil over!
