Coaches are so dialed in on portal meanwhile there are many ballers being left out at the high school level. Truth is people don’t want to develop, they want a close to finished product & when those players are done those same coaches poach players that other schools develop.

Don’t say you have 0 offers and “LOVE” the game and turn around & tell a NAIA coach you are above their level, if that were the case you would have multiple offers. Just for transparency if you were above that level your offers would show that. I’m that coach that will keep it 💯.

If you are a c/o 25 student athlete and haven’t received an offer from a DI as of yet it’s not out of the realm there is still a possibility but it’s time to open up your recruitment to “ALL” levels. Relationships are the most important, go somewhere you’re wanted not just a #.

Division I schools asking for guys to volunteer for QC or assist. coaching position in a time when food, housing & gas prices are extremely high. really? If you can navigate NIL you should be able to find these coaches a livable wage some of which who work harder than FT coaches.

I’ve honestly watched over 100 Hudl highlights today and it’s shocking how much talent is out there at the HS level. I wish we could offer everyone with dominant tape in the c/o 25 but the reality is there are only so many spots left at this time of the year.

Another school shouldn’t have to offer a kid in order to validate your reasoning for recruiting a kid and offering. ⭐️ ⭐️⭐️ shouldn’t equate to an offer, the film does. Scheme and cultural fit are so important to a program. Some not all coaches have truly lost their way.

Went JuCo made it out the mud, earned a D1 scholarship than made it pro so yes if you ask me if a player is D1 I know what it looks like. Some of you coaches need to drop the ego. We understand the recruiting game & are trying to help kids get to the level they can play at.

As a JuCo product myself it’s tough to see some of these really good JuCo players passed up by less productive portal guys. Going after a name opposed to the tape & the objectives. It trickles down to HS players as well. Go where you are wanted before you get lost in the shuffle.

Playing D2 might not be the prettiest option but it may be the BEST option for some, especially when it pertains to acquiring film and playing outside of special teams. Many athletes are not entering the portal with the mindset of being depth players now in days.

Word of advice for FCS PWO guys: If your plan is to accept a PWO knowing you will enter the portal after 1 semester thinking that D1’s will pick you up just because you have D1 bounceback in your bio, understand when you enter the portal they will know you were non scholarship.
