My recruiting wish for 2022… to see just one kid make a 3 and then run back to play D. No bow and arrow, no staring down the opponent, no nothing; just runs back and plays D like the 3 was no big deal.

Darrow vs. Bridgton Academy

A lean, quick twitch combo guard, Delgardo was fantastic tonight. He scored at all 3 levels, showed great floor vision, and was a blur in transition. Surprised more coaches weren’t on the baseline for his game… he was awesome.

3. If you want to be recruited, the NEPSAC is one of the top leagues to be in… 200+ coaches from all levels and leagues in the gym this weekend. High majors, mid-majors, academics… you name it, they were there!

One of the fastest guards end to end in the gym today. Dakane might be the best sub-6’ rebounder I’ve seen this spring. He’s competitive, tough, and can play either backcourt spot.

Price is a long + lean combo guard that wows in the open floor. He’s disruptive in passing lanes, is a capable offensive initiator, and has the athleticism to finish strong at the rim. Made some big plays down the stretch.

One of the spring’s top stock risers, Alekseyenko operated in a point-forward role tonight, something I hadn’t seen from him before. He’s all of 6’8”, competes on the glass, and is now consistently knocking down 3s.

The New York native is a DYNAMIC athlete and uses his athleticism to impact the game on both ends of the floor. He played w/ the ball in his hands a lot this afternoon and seemed comfortable in the initiator role.

Maybe the best athlete in the gym, Williams has terrific positional size + length. Handles the ball well, is a high level passer, and locks down on D. Athleticism popped in open floor, vision + feel were impressive.

I worked the Georgetown Basketball Camp back in the summer of 2012. Coach Thompson was in the gym every day that week and I remember meeting him, it was the first time I was every truly in awe. He was larger than life and left an indelible impact on the game of basketball.
