Telling a kid exactly what to throw on every pitch makes them a thrower, not a pitcher.
Have conversations with them, teach them what you’re seeing, suggest pitches throughout a game, be a part of the process. But don’t build robots!

Calling your own game as a pitcher and catcher shouldn’t be a privilege. Give kids the ability to fail. Give them the experience to learn! If you force all your pitchers and catchers to throw exactly what you say, you’re taking a key part of the mental game away from them.

Before signing as a NDFA with the Blue Jays, Amalfi (Firebirds) pitched 17 Innings with 19 K’s.
Metzdorf (Firebirds) batted .419 in 8 games, with 13 hits & 7 RBIs.
Dexter (Gatemen) went 2.1 innings, 2 K’s & 0 runs.

Criminal. “Public health” You’d think the Ivy League would have someone smart enough to run the stats & data for 18-22 year olds affected by COVID vs 18-22 year olds (and their coaches) affected by significant mental health issues from this. Adults have stopped being adults.
The Ivy League Presidents decide not to hold league competition or host league championships this spring, establish a process that may allow for limited, local competition if public health conditions improve.

Why can’t we just get everyone together to agree that when doing catcher pop times we have a batter swing and miss at the pitch? Would stop these insane showcase pop times and actually provide helpful data. If they cheat, they get a bat in their scapula... no brainer.
