Coaching should always be about the kids!

Well the computer did look kindly on us and we were granted an at large spot in Div 3A! We will be playing Rio Hondo Prep at home on Thursday! 🏀

Well we managed a rugged win vs Whittier 48-36 in our league finale! We finish the season with our best record since the Covid season 20-8 and 4-4 in league! Now we wait to see if the computer shows us favor and hopefully a spot in the playoffs! 🏀

After suffering 2 straight defeats vs La Serna and Cal! We managed to come out with a win in a defensive battle vs league leader Santa Fe 39-35 OT!

We started week 1 of league 1-1! Loss to La Serna 60-41 and a big 2 OT win vs Cal 56-55! We have a bye this week and have a big home game on Friday vs Santa Fe! 🏀

Two solid wins this week vs Montebello 55-21 and vs El Monte 66-6, move us to 16-4 on the season! Now we open league with a game at La Serna on Wednesday! 🏀

We had a full last day in Vegas. Won the breakfast special vs Foothill, NV. 56-42! Actual breakfast at Pancake House! Watched our boys get a W! BBQ dinner! Rode the roller coaster at New York, New York! Finished the day going to the top of the Strat for a great view of Vegas! 🏀

We dropped a tight one to a tough Spring Valley team 52-51. We will be back at it today vs an outstanding team from back home Paramount. 🏀

Unfortunately we could not match Alta’s offensive and defensive execution, so we lost our 2nd game of the season 69-50. We will find out our next opponent at the Tarkanian Classic later today. 🏀

Made it to Vegas! On our way to game 1 vs Alta, Utah! 🏀

We were dominated from the tip in our 55-26 loss to Santa Fe in the championship game of the Edgewood Tournament. I have to do a better job of preparing us. We’ll look to be better next week with an away game vs Rosemead. 🏀

We were able to come away with a 52-12 win vs Arroyo to finish 1st in our pool and push our record to 10-0! We will play league rival Santa Fe in the championship game tonight at the Edgewood Tournament!🏀

We went to 2-0 in pool play with a 51-26 win vs the home team at the Edgewood Tournament! We have a day off and finish pool play tomorrow vs Arroyo! 🏀

We managed to push our record to 8-0 with an opening win vs Nogales 77-12 at the Edgewood Tournament! We will continue pool play with a game vs Edgewood tonight! 🏀

We had a great Thanksgiving week winning the Ella Hudson Tournament at Duarte HS! We will look to stay undefeated with our first game of pool play at the Edgewood Tournament today! 🏀

We jumped out to a solid lead in the first quarter and carried that to a 64-43 win over Adelanto! We will play in the championship game of the Duarte HS Tournament! 🏀

We had another solid outing, beating the home team at the Duarte Tournament 61-16! Tomorrow we will move on to our last game of pool play vs Adelanto! 🏀

We managed to push our record to 4-0 with a comeback victory vs Millikan 49-45, in the first game of Duarte HS basketball tournament! 🏀

We started the season off with a solid 71-32 win over Alhambra! We continue non-league play with a game vs Baldwin Park on Thursday! 🏀

Another year in the books! 🎂 Best of all, I got to spend my birthday doing something I love, coaching basketball! We got the win and my team surprised me by decorating my car and getting me a bunch of treats! I can’t thank them enough! They keep me young! 🏀
