Around 10 years ago, Brad Stevens was turned down to coach a D-III school on the same day he found out he was going to be the head coach at Butler.
Now he’s up 3-0 in the 2nd round of the NBA Playoffs with a team that’s not supposed to be there.
Life is beautifully crazy.

How good can the NAIA D-II level be? Davenport University is in it's first year as a NCAA D-II team. Two of their starters and leading scorers were on last year's team that went to the NAIA tournament. As a new member of the GLIAC, they defeated a conference foe by 30 last month.

Don’t be a know it all, but don’t be afraid to make suggestions. Your HC has you there for a reason. Figure out what works and what doesn’t.

In the past, the gym would’ve been pitch dark, but the new Team Suite now allows natural light to beam in and adds a fieldhouse feel. Love it!

Academics are a must if you want to play at a school with high academic standards. But, so is the ability to play at that school's level.
Ivy League, Patriot League, UAA (D3), and many other schools all have guys who could've played up a level if they wanted. But chose fit!

Having worked at Asbury for 7 years, I often find myself telling people that I am not a graduate, but an "adopted Asburian".
Hopefully that will change soon, as I will be pursing an MBA at Asbury beginning this Fall.

Anyone who has ever met Lennie Acuff isn't at all surprised to see Lipscomb successful.
What's surprising is how quickly he's done it. The Bisons graduated 7,387 career points off last year's NIT runner-up team.
