Almost 400 new players in the womens soccer transfer portal in the past 4 days, only going to increase more.
This is genuinely crazy.
In comparison,on this day last year there were 537 players in the portal. Today as of this moment there is 681.

PSA's: Don't ignore emails from assistant coaches. A lot of times they lead the recruiting train for programs. I used to be ignored all the time as an AC, but those same players would reply back to my HC. Any email from any coach at any level is a blessing. Treat it as such

I try to be as straightforward and honest with all recruits anytime in the process. I'd rather you hear the truth and make your choice on the outcome, rather then sell you on what you want to hear and things don't work out then have you upset in the result.

I can't begin to explain how awesome of a first day it was today!
Everyone passed their fitness test. We got to use a bunch of our new equipment. The team energy was top notch.

PSAs - please stop ignoring Asst. Coaches or GA emails. You're missing connections by doing so. A lot of HCs have their staff do contact points for recruits. Lastly you never know, that Asst. could end up being your HC one day.

If you dont congratulate the kid on committing somewhere and wishing them the best of luck, then I dont actually think you cared for the player in the first place, just what they could do for your program
Advice for Young Coaches:
31) Don’t take recruiting personal. When you don’t get a kid congratulate them on their commitment elsewhere. Focus on what you can do better as a recruiter and pursue kids who will better relate and appreciate your program, region, and school.
