1. Affordability. BA cost $600 for a months airbnb in a prime location with great wifi and a rooftop pool. New York is 6x that price and you don’t get even get half the space or the amenities. In NY, you're sold a 'cozy living space' aka a shoebox.

In BA, you’re surrounded by endless cafes, bars and restaurants. All high quality, top service and non processed food. In New York, you’re fed junk for the most part. If you want a nice dining experience, this will set you back $250+ minimum. I went to the world’s best

I’ve spent a considerable amount of time in both city’s. I’ve experienced what it’s like to live there. I've not just been a tourist, who's stayed at hotels and only visited the tourist sites. What i've seen has shocked me. NY doesn't even come close.

Other things that people think they’d be put off by but aren’t an issue:. - Wifi.- Quality of Amenities (gym, sports clubs).- Ordering packages.- Paying by card. I’ve had 0 issue with any of this, they are all up to top quality.

4. Safety. “South America is dangerous, i wouldn’t go there”. Sure, there will be parts that are dangerous and not safe. But that’s the same in every country. I’m from the U.K. I find London way sketchier than BA for safety. New York from my experience was way sketchier too.

3. Homelessness and Dirtiness. Don’t get me wrong, there’s a fair few homeless in BA, like any major city. You see people sleeping in the streets, people going through bins, even the odd kid asking for food. But in NY there’s easily 10x this. Smack head homeless people too, it

2. Weather. I can only comment on the weather in the summer. New York is disgusting in the heat. The buildings make the city feel 10 degrees hotter than it is. Everyone is sweaty and muggy, most people are wearing office attire, having to change clothes before and after work.

5. Transport. Uber is 3-4x cheaper here than the US. A 30 min ride will cost you $10. Not as much traffic, they have huge wide lanes, one road in the centre has 16 lanes. You can actually get around by car in this city whereas NY you can’t. The underground system works well

@EmotioPorcupine I agree on that point. NYC is one of if not the biggest financial districts of the world. That being said, from my perspective there’s more to life than just earning shit tons of money. Work life balance is much better here than NYC.

Since moving to Argentina. I’ve gained more muscle, felt more energised and increased my testosterone. But i’ve drank more, i’m training slightly less and i’m not tracking calories. This shows the power of sunlight, eating good quality red meat and not overtraining.
