Our boys want to play. It is not easy trying to explain how Sunnyslope, Brophy, Saint Mary’s, Phoenix Christian and Washington (all within 5 miles from us) are safe to practice but we are not. It is much bigger than just football. praying we are back soon🙏🏻#BobcatBrotherHood.

In 2018 and 2019 we played PV, South, Fairfax, Maricopa and McClintock and went 0-10 against them. We were outscored 440-86. This year we played those same 5 teams, went 5-0 and outscored them 170-99. The guys in our locker room are truly special 🏈 proud coach #BobcatBrotherHood.

This one was a big one for us…In 2017 and 2018 against Paradise Valley we went 0-2 and were out scored a total of 92-8 in those two games. 4 years later we come away with a 34-32 win!! The work and commitment from these young men is something special. #BobcatBrotherhood

Man what a special night for our guys! Doubled the win total from a season ago, 3-0 in the region after 0-5 last year. playing for the region championship next week! The fight they showed tonight, beating another East Valley school at their homecoming was special #ChavezMade 😈.
FINAL: Cesar Chavez 41, Mesa 40. Chavez took the lead on the Mason Penrod keeper with 48 seconds left then Mesa drove the ball inside the Chavez 25 before losing a fumble to seal it. Heck of a game.

Great game plan by Cesar Chavez coach Chandler Hovik, whose team had Chandler on the ropes, cutting score to 20-18 with 3 minutes left on a 95-yard scoring drive. A missed 2-point conversion or it would have been tied. Chandler went on to win 27-18. Chavez's D-line had 8 sacks.
