@CoachJustinTate 1.) Don’t only target kids that stand out athletically. I’ve seen guys that don’t pass the eye test turn out to be good ball players and really latch on to being part of the team. 2.) Help your kids get recruited by colleges, advocate as loud as possible, other kids see that!.

Here’s the story behind this pic:. -Alex had an incredible offseason and was set up to be the focal point of our offense. -In our 1st game Alex broke his ankle, ending his season after only 1 half of football. -TODAY he signed with LWC to play football. Couldn’t be more proud!!!

Aiden Weatherholt (‘24).- #22 5’10” 170 lb.- LB. AW is the real deal on the defensive end. This guy can cover ground, and tackles at an outstanding rate. Aiden excels in both pass coverage and playing the run, as well as being on every special team! Sideline to sideline!

One of the cooler moments in my coaching career happened last night. I call a pass play in the huddle to try and ice a game, our QB1 (@DylanMorris2025) tells me he wants our QB2 (@eub1444) to throw the ball in one of the biggest moments and calls this play. Selfless football!

2024 Alex Basham (RB/DL) .6’ 249lbs. Finished 2nd in state with a 49’ 11.5” throw in shot put! Winner was 50’ even. Dual sport athlete that will draw multiple football and track scholarships before it’s all said and done!

Back in 2019 we had a 14 year old German foreign exchange student that decided he wanted to be our kicker. 5 years later he came back to visit us and showed that he still has it! Moritz drilled a 55 yarder today, only his second time kicking a field goal in the last 4 years!

Kaleb Keown not making the All Region Second Team from the Messenger Inquirer was a huge miss. 15.3 ppg and 8.7 rpg in a full season as well as helping lead Hancock to a win in the first round of the region tournament and playing the regions champs down to the wire.

Jack Duncan (‘23) .- 5’11” 200 lbs.- LB/RB. Jack is a four year starter at linebacker, and has racked up over 100 tackles in all four seasons. This guy can do it all, racking up 3 sacks last game and tacking on a rushing touchdown in each of the first two games!

Kaleb Keown (‘23) @KeownKaleb .- 6’5” 235 lb.- TE/WR. Every team can use a 6’5” player that can run routes, move with the ball in their hands, catch exceptionally well, and block inside/outside. Kaleb also is near the top academically in his class (taking a full college schedule)

This kid has played football from 8th grade to currently his junior year, and started corner EVERY GAME. He has only allowed 7 catches in that time. Austin Volocko (HC) and Byrd Taylor (OHS) are the two best corners in the area and it’s not close.
