Air Marshal B Manikantan,AVSM ,VM ,AOC-in-C, Southern Air Command & a proud alumnus, reviewed the parade accompanied by Col Dhirendra Kumar, Principal. The Air Marshal lauded the cadets for their immaculate turnout & exceptional parade performance. Vibrant aerobics display by junior cadets and captivating disciplined performance of the school’s decorated band team enthralled the audience. For the first time in the school’s history, the newly introduced NDA Trophy, sponsored by the Air Marshal, was presented to the Best House. #SainikSchool #RaisingDay"

How time flies! 2000 to 02 - Witnessed the selection & induction processes at Delhi for Searchers & Herons. 2004 onwards - Pioneered their operational use at sea from INS Taragiri 2005 - Controlled UAVs in their first operational victories during the annual Op Level exercises. Wonderful memories of weeks spent at sea hosting and having fun with the crew of the UAV squadron, almost everyone a personal friend. 2006 - Witnessed the birth of the first home for UAVs, Indian Naval Air Squadron 342. The squadron's crest remains on the mantle piece, announcing the birth of an era. That era is beginning to end, but an absolutely amazing new era has begun. Lucky to be still in the arena, with newgen UAVs, alongside #skyberaerospace

Elephants crossing NH 55 this morning near Nima Bahali, Meramandali, western part of Dhenkanal district, Odisha. For the 2 years I was there I longed to see this sight as sign boards reading 'Elephant Crossing Area' always gave hope. But only the perennially dust-laden air could be seen!

Narcotics Seizure - Combined Operation b/n #IndianNavy & @srilanka_navy. Based on information received from #SrilankaNavy regarding probable narcotics smuggling by Sri Lankan flagged fishing vessels, the @indiannavy swiftly responded through a coordinated operation to localise & intercept the boats. Two boats were identified based on continuous inputs from @srilanka_navy and @IFC_IOR alongwith extensive surveillance undertaken by Indian Navy's aerial assets. Both boats were boarded by ship’s team on 24 & 25 Nov 24, leading to the seizure of approximately 500 kg of narcotics (Crystal Meth). The two boats, along with crew and seized narcotics, are being handed over to Sri Lankan authorities for further legal action. The operation symbolizes combined resolve of both navies to address regional maritime challenges, and ensure safety & security in the #IndianOceanRegion. 🇮🇳-🇱🇰 #BridgesofFriendship
