One of the youngest to gain entry to Cambridge at 17 she graduated with a BSc Hons in Engineering and then went onto obtain a Masters in the same subject before leaving university. So not quite as you allege. Nonetheless her work teaching maths during lockdown was outstanding 👍🏻

briefly, after she gave an inspirational speech about being in business, a couple of years ago. She was petite, very pretty and beautifully dressed... but more important than that, she had everyone listening intently, because she knew her stuff. Fab.

The nurse who nipped down to the hospital shop and bought my Dad his favourite Iron Bru, a small gesture but gave him a bit of his favourite drink just before he died, she didn’t have to be so kind but she was. Always so grateful to her.

I was a suburban, very pale white, young woman who helped nurse men suffering from AIDS at a time when one needle stick injury could be a death sentence and I couldn’t tell family or friends in case I was shunned too. Love will overcome. He can do what you suggest.

And when people were dying or then died, I settled/administered their affairs and had to spend time with families who were not just bereaved but traumatised and now, very angry.
This behaviour is deeply offensive as are they.

An interesting attitude for the caring organisation to adopt… I too was off sick, met similar approach, was ‘encouraged’ to attend work, which worsened the problem. My GP then reported my employer to HSE, the RCN paid for a brilliant lawyer 😊 I then retrained in the law 👍🏻

My husbands grandfather served on special ops (submarines) in WWII, his own brother gave him a white feather because he wouldn’t say what his service was/had been - because he couldn’t/wouldnt. Sometimes it’s best to just keep quiet and maintain some dignity and respect.

This gives me a flashback to watching my elderly mum get taken away to hospital by paramedics in an ambulance. Whilst I stood at a safe distance from them in a mask, shouting out critical details about her care needs. I will never forgive or forget.

No, I was working on my own in a large empty office, dealing with the affairs of the dead and dying (I was a bit busy). Whilst ensuring those many colleagues working from home could get their post in and out..long days, early nights. Never once thought of breaking the rules.
