Star Wars Galaxies. It was ahead of its time. With the right direction and modern tech, I believe that game could be one of the most successful MMOs ever made.
To this day, there still isn't an MMO out there that offers the same level of freedom, customization, and immersion.

I’m going to take heat for this... but I wish Naughty Dog would make a new Jak & Daxter over another Uncharted or The Last of Us. Their new games have better stories, but I felt their old games had better gameplay.

TP Link. It somehow managed to take the OOT Link and make the design more realistic, detailed, and badass.
The best character design Link has ever had, as well as Zelda. True form Midna also looks amazing.
What I would give for another Zelda game in the TP art style!!!

I think the frustration has more so been directed at a long absence of 1st party news. Even so, there are plenty of 3rd party titles that have been keeping the PS5 relevant. With the nature of AAA development, people need to get comfortable with 5+ year dev cycles for big games.

I love Hamaguchi's outlook. Leave the story and character development to the original team. Meanwhile, his team focuses on bringing FFVII up to modern gaming standards. He truly is the best person to lead the Remake project.

Nobody that knows the compilation ever thought for a second this was a "plot hole."

A reminder that Nomura and Kitase's favorite scene from FF7 was the lifestream sequence. Also, Under the Highwind was meant to be more mature and happen in the Chocobo stables on the Highwind.

It's beautiful yet sad, if you think about it.
Every moment Aerith shares with Cloud, she's reminded of Zack.
She even goes as far as acting like him at times just to bring herself peace of mind in her grief.
I really do hope they get to have a reunion in Rebirth or Part III.

One of the aspects I don't like about Advent Children is how Cloud deals with geostigma and his guilt. It took most of the movie, and a speech from Marlene, for him to realize who is most important in his life.
Tifa is honestly the woman of the century for what she dealt with.

I truly believe this was a mistake on Nomura's part. While I love AC, we didn't need Cloud to relapse, especially after he regained his true self.
Upbeat true self Cloud is the best Cloud, and it's a shame we see so little of him at the end of AC.

One could maybe make that argument in the first half of OG when Cloud didn't know who he was. However, things clearly fall into place for the rest of the game. Cloud and Tifa's relationship becomes crystal clear.
The compillation reinforces this with AC, CC, and DC.

Crisis Core does such an amazing job humanizing the antagonists of FF7. Not only do we see Sephiroth's human side more, we also see a more compassionate and empathetic side to the Turks.
I can't wait to see how Zack will interact with Sephiroth in the Remake project.

I am so disappointed and ashamed of how some in this fandom act towards others, especially the creators of the game.
Jairus has harassed and disrespected Nojima to the point he'll limit interactions on Twitter. This behavior in our fandom is unacceptable. Block/Report FF7Novels.

The point was never to change the story of FFVII. The point was to expand upon it and add new surprises. She'll likely end up in Zack's timeline and they'll have their own part to play in the fight against Sephiroth.

This did not need to be changed. The guilt Barret feels from actions earlier in the game are a major aspect of his character growth. This is also one of the main reasons Reeve betrays the party in OG. It gave the heroes depth by not always making the right or moral choice.

87 is a very good score. It's the same score FF7 Remake received, and it went on to win RPG of the Year at The Game Awards. You don't need a 90+ score to be seen as a great game.

FF7 is the only FF game with this shipping drama, and it's because of player choice in OG. Every other FF since had a canon ship with no player choice. Zerith and Cloti are the canonic pairings based on OG and the compilation. It's time to make that clear with no interpretation.

People need to realize that while some in the West see "JRPG" as a term of endearment, historically the western gaming media always used it in a way to marginalize and put down RPGs from Japan.
I don't blame Nomura or Yoshi-P for taking issue with this term. It should be axed.

People always forget Kitase has been the main force for change in the remake. He wanted to do something different and the idea of the whispers came from him. Nomura has actually been the one to reel him in and keep the Remake project more faithful. The KH hatred is overblown.

I'd be very interested to see Cloud and Tifa's story post-AC/DC.
While I love everything the Remake is doing and how it's creating a new possibility of its own, seeing where they go in the OG timeline would also be very exciting.
