I did a caterpillar photoshoot today! This larva has been very busy feeding on the invasive Phragmites at @raresites but stopped for a few quick poses for me!

Things I found in the wetland today: 1) all of my plots (yay!), when the flags burned the metal turned orange ish so we found them and 2) the meter stick I lost when I got stung by a wasp on the eyelid and ran out of the Phrag. The fire giveth and the fire taketh away.

@KirkwoodLab Thanks Andrea! planning on hitting thr drawing board soon and seeing what sorts of questions we can answer with this situation! But we don’t know what caused the fire, seems to be accidental 😭
