Crews are painting the park's comfort station, installing permanent fencing and finishing up irrigation and landscaping items. The park is expected to reopen to the public later this year.

Taking action for safety! 🌴 A potentially hazardous queen palm tree in Golden Heights on 29th Street was removed by our dedicated City crews. A vigilant horticulturist noticed the increasing lean due to wet ground and strong winds.

Our City's Urban Forestry Program is committed to increasing San Diego's tree canopy cover! SD's climate action plan calls for tree canopies to cover 35% of the city by 2035. So far, more than 800 trees have been planted under the Trees for Communities tree planting project. 🌳
