Fireworks tents are going up around town! The City Commission in January set the following schedule for fireworks in Newton:
You can BUY fireworks:
💥 10 a.m.-10 p.m. June 27-July 4
You can SHOOT fireworks:
💥 10 a.m.-10 p.m. June 28-29 and July 3
💥 7 a.m.-10 p.m. July 4

Staff at City cemeteries will begin their annual post-Memorial Day cleanup on Monday, June 10. Any temporary decorations left on graves will be discarded. If you have decorations you want to keep, please remove them by June 9. This does not include flowers in permanent vases.

We’re sorry to report that Springlake Splash Park will not be able to open this weekend as planned. Last week, as we prepped the system for the season, we found an electrical issue and had to order parts. We are unsure when we'll be able to open.
